As a result, they remain faceless citizens of what should be a growing, thriving community. Now there's a solution that can help your website grow! Just install AutoAssignAvatars and all users without avatars will be assigned one. You set the interval between the time the user registers and the time an avatar is automatically assigned This gives new users time to upload their own image...the module doesn't immediately "commandeer" or "take over" the user's profile page. Once an avatar is assigned, the user can be notified by email that their profile has been given a random avatar. The email includes a link back to their profile page, and invites the user to revisit your site and upload an avatar of their choice. You can also upload the sample avatar thumbnails to your gallery. If a user chooses a thumbnail from this gallery, they're upgraded to the full sized avatar the next time the module runs. They're not just stuck with the tiny thumbnail image as their avatar.
